Lately I have been missing home a little and since I will be going home for a much needed visit in 16 days I thought I would make a list of the top ten things I miss about home and what I am excited for when I get there! Don't get me wrong I love Calgary but there is nothing like home!
1) MY SISTERS.....I didn't think it was possible to go this long without my sisters but I have made it thus far. Going to the Women's Conference all by myself on Saturday night really made me miss them and the girls night that we had the last time we went. Oh what would we do without sisters. I can't wait to spend all the time I can with them for ten days!
2) BABY GRAHAM....Although my cousin wanted that baby out I wanted him to stay in till I got there! I can't wait to meet my Sara's baby for the first time, pictures are just not feeling my need to squeeze those cute cheeks! Dont' worry Graham Aunt Emily will be there soon!
3) MY MOM....You would think the fact that I talk to my mom multiple times a day (thank you Shaw unlimited U.S. Calling) I would be ok, but my mom and I have a great friendship and I can't wait to spend countless hours with my mom while eating her delicious cooking, there is nothing like dinner at Suze's!
4) FOUNTAIN DRINKS... I know a little wierd right? But seriously nobody has fountain drinks here and when a girl needs a diet coke what is she supposed to do. I definately will be making some runs to the local gas station to feel my need!
5) THE KIDS....these pics say it all. I miss them everyday and I am just praying that they haven't grown up too much while I have been gone!

6) THE WEDDING...the reason that I am making the trip in the first place is because my good friend Melissa is getting married in the SLC temple and I get the lucky opportunity to be the one to be her escort for her first time going through the temple. I feel so blessed to share this wonderful experience with her and know she is going to love it! I also get to throw her bachelorette party and be a part of the wedding party as a bridesmaid. I can't wait to be a part of her special day!
7) NO METRIC SYSTEM FOR TEN DAYS...Won't it be nice to wake up and know what the temperature means and how much gas costs in gallons. I think I have used my math skills a little too much in the last couple months and it will be nice to have a little rest.
8) FRIENDS...I won't list them all but you know who you are! I miss meeting up with friends, spending late nights at dance with my favorite girls and knowing if you needed to run errands you could find someone to go with you. I hope that I get to spend some quality time with each of them during my short trip.
9) TURNING LANES...Seriously those things are a stroke of genius and nobody should take them for granted. There is nothing more frustrating then getting stuck every second behind a car that is turning. Belive me I will be soaking in all the suicide lanes I can get!
10) THE MOUNTAINS....There is nothing more beautiful then being able to look out your window and see the Wasatch Mountains, not to mention they are great for finding your way around.
As you can see I am very excited about my trip home and I am beginning a count down now so you better get ready!

A Lil Bit of Everything Calgary...
I just thought I would give a little update and pictures of some unexpected changes here in Calgary! After just a couple months working on the Centuria, Hank has switched job sites. There were some problems with the developers so UPA decided it would be best to pull out and not lose out. While Hank is a little bummed because he loved the job he is equally excited about the new opportunity that lies ahead and grateful for all the experiences he is having.
I am sad because before Hank's work was five minutes away, in fact we picked our housing because of the job site and now he commuting 40 minutes each way, such is life I guess. I loved being able to stop by during they day and visit Hank or meet him for lunch; and of course the saving of gas money with Hank riding his bike was equally GREAT! So with the change we are just re evaluating our priorites and making it all work. It just really goes to show you that life is ever changing and you have to be ready for it at all times.
Ok on to the pictures, on Hank's last day on the site he went up in the crane and took some great pictures of the area we live in DOWNTOWN CALGARY. I had to share the pics because they are great shots of the city and give you all a better idea of what the city is really like! Also I thought I would share a couple pictures of the gym I work at HEAVENS, it is a really cool building and a great establishment!
Like every post I can't say enough about how much we are enjoying Calgary. We love the area and love our ward. I got called to be the Young Women's Secretary and Hank got called to be the Executive Secretary (nothing like getting thrown into things)! Although it can be time comsuming it is great to be out of our comfort zone and in the missionary field. We have tons of young couples in our ward and have already made some great friends! I will keep you updated if any more unexpected changes come about but I am hoping nothing too drastic happens any time soon!

2 YEARS GONE BY!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HANK!

I can't believe it has been two years. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be married to a man like Hank, he truly is my best friend. He is constantly making me laugh and reminding me not to take life too serious when I tend to be a bit of a stress case. I know that he is my soul mate and I honestly don't know where I would be without him. I am so excited to share this adventure out here in Calgary with him and I know that no matter where I go or what I do I will have him by my side to make it a wild ride.
Since our anniversary is today, on Sunday, we decided to do a little early celebrating by going out for Sushi (my favorite) last night! I had to take pictures of the restaurant because you would think that we reserved the place to have it all to ourselves, but in actuality we are such early birds we had the place to ourselves. I realized I am a clone of my parents, I guess we are the only people that go to dinner at 5:30p.m. OH well it was fun to have the place to ourselves and the food was GREAT! In fact I am wishing I had some right now. It was a beautiful day here so we took some time to stroll the streets of downtown. It was a very low key celebration but everyday is a celebration with Hank!
Thanks for a great 2 Years, I love you so much!

Hank needed a haircut.
Hank thought why not just do it myself.
Hank proceeded despite Emily's HORROR.
Hank has a lot of hair. I mean HAD.
Hank is now footlose and fancy free.
Hank is proud of his accomplishment.
However next time I am thinking DOLLARCUTS might be a better option!
