Chunky Thighs and Fat Rolls

Is there anything cuter than chunky thighs on a baby? I am in love with this little ones chunky thighs. I was delighted to find out that her baby legs finally fit, which reminded me of a pick I took when she was just a couple weeks old. I kind of want to cry now....where has my little baby gone???? What a difference 5 months can make!

Happy Father's Day

Hank and Boogie before church. Father's Day 2010
I know this is a be-lated post but I still wanted to say a couple nice things about my Hank and the amazing Dad that he is!!!

Hank is someone who was meant to be a father, it is his destiny and if I were a nice wife I would give him 10 children because he could handle it with ease. Unfortunately that is not going to happen and he is still happy. When I was hysterical pregnant sick and I told him he was getting one kid and one kid only, he said that is fine one is great!!!! Of course I have agreed to a little more than one, but still I know Hank would be supportive!
He is always there to take over when I am overwhelmed and he loves Blakely more than life itself. I love to watch them together and I know that she is going to be a daddy's girl someday.
Hank does more for this family than I could ever ask for and Blakely I are two lucky ladies.
Thank you Hank for being the best daddy in the world. I look forward to showering you with love for many more father's days to come!

The Pink Ladies

At every water station those are the words we heard "Its the PINK LADIES" We did not set out calling ourselves this but I guess it was inevitable with the pink hats and tops!

So we did it! Simone, Becka, and I ran a half marathon this past Saturday and had a blast! When Simone said she wanted to run her first half I was excited to help her get ready, with little training time and me just having a baby we were a little nervous but it ended up being absolutely great. Simone wanted to try and get a 2:10 for her first and I comitted to getting her in by that, INSTEAD she totally rocked it and we ran a time of 2:04 killing her goal. When we had 3 miles left to go and she was telling me how great she was feeling and speeding up I knew I could have pushed it faster in the beginning. Watch out Simone, now I know how strong you are no mercy next time!
I will say running a half at a good pace makes it a lot of fun. We chatted and told stories the whole time, I am sure we entertained many runners along the way. In fact at one point there was this older man running in front of us and I said, do you like our stories? pretty entertaining huh? He agreed!!!As you can tell from the pictures we had a great time and I can't wait to do another one. I am really glad I comitted to this because after having Blakely and only running on the treadmill I was convinced I hated running, but now I have the running bug back and I am addicted!
After the last half I ran when I was barely pregnant with Blakely I had some serious knee troubles stemmed from IT band problems, while training for this it flared up a few times and I was hoping it would hold out ok, but mile 10 it started to hurt which makes me wonder if I will ever be able to run a full marathon, time will tell. For now I am hoping it will hold out for this Saturdays K-100 where I will be running 9 miles up a mountain, KILL ME NOW! After that I will do the Physical Therapy I need to get it back in tip top shape.
Enjoy the pictures, Becka loves her pictures and made us take a million, which I am glad about now. I think it really captures how much fun we had!

Getting all set to go!

Starting Line
Becka carried her camera the whole time so we had to use it, here is with 3 miles to go!
Not a great picture, but funny! I was running backwards to get a pic!
Finish Line...showing off our cool FOOTstock medals
Me and my Boogie at the Finish Line
The PINK LADIES

YUMMY pancake breakfast to follow!
Of coure we had to get one in our shirts, I can't decide if Becka was more excited for the shirts or the race, ha ha!

Quick Trip

Millie and Blakely meeting their Great Grandma Allen for the first time!!

DISCLAIMER: If you are reading this post and you live in Utah and you are thinking, wow that is rude she came into town and didn't even tell me or come say hi, I have a reason. My parents agreed to pay for half my ticket for a quick trip to Utah so to make it fair I said I am only going to spend time with my family this time! Ok so there you go, no one can be offended!

Now back to my post....a week is way too short, but I am grateful for even that much time to spend with my family. I am lucky to have such a wonderful family. We spent the week going for runs, family dinners, late nights at Sara's house watching good reality tv, shopping, and as always eating good food!!!
I was horrible at taking photos but did manage a few the day we went swimming!

I did end up getting an extra day added to my trip when I went to the aiport without our passports, I almost made it back in time with the help of Bekah and my dad's amazing speeding skills, however they gave away my seat premature so gave me a free flight home the next day. I was not too sad about this to say the least, in fact maybe subconsciously I did it on purpose, ha ha!

Can't wait for the next trip and hopefully next time I will be able to spend more time and see more people!

June Photoshoot

So while I was in Utah (more on that later) my cousin Annie took some pictures of Blakely at the park. I woke her up from a nap in the car, threw on a cute outfit, and she performed like a champ. Constant smiles and squeals and in 10 minutes we had some priceless photos. There were so many good ones so WARNING lots of pictures. I love them all.

I am in LOVE with this little girl, she is constantly moving and never stops smiling. Between Hank and I she may be the most social child ever!

And here is the beautiful photographer and New 2nd Grade Teach, Miss Annie Livingston. Wouldn't you love to be in her 2nd grade class?
