Blog Title

So it has recently been brought to my attention that my blog title might come across in another way...

While I may be naive I honestly started laughing hysterically when someone (my brother in law) brought it to my attention! h and e AND A LITTLE B? If you don't get what I am getting at then just ignore this post, however if you get it the question is....Should I change my blog title to say H and E and Miss B or should I leave it???

It is pretty funny once you think about it, but then again it may not matter!

Also I am thinking about going unprivate.....ahh decisions!!!!

Winter REWIND

I lost some pictures in the changing of camera's but I found them and couldn't resist not blogging about 2 of my FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE or for my Canadians FAVOURITE holiday traditions.

Nativity Pageant: always the coldest night of our lives but worth every frozen finger. I feel the spirit so strong every year and it is my favorite tradition we have started since living here!

CHRISTMAS EVE SKI DAY: I look forward to this day every year and I am so gald I wasn't prego and was able to attend!!!! We got the best weather and the best snow and I was in heaven. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for babysitting!

Keep Calm

So I bought this sign at Home Sense and thought it would look so cute in Blakely's room with the grey decor, little did I know that it would be my saving grace and my inspiration each day.

When I decided to hang it above the changing table it didn't occur to me that every time I would put Blakely to sleep I would stare right at it. 

As many of you know if you read this blog..sleep, naptimes, etc have been a struggle with this one. It never has been easy and she continues to fight it each time I go to put her down. Therefore this sign staring me in the face has made me take a deep breathe and enjoy the little moments. Its ok if I have to fight her for a minute or if I have to cuddle her for 10 extra minutes even though I have so much to do. If I just keep calm in the moment and not stress I will carry on.

I think as mom's we think we have to do it all and be perfect but lately I am trying not to stress as much and just take it as it comes because as it turns out Miss B is not ever going to be the perfect sleeper, so why not keep calm and take it as it is. I hope I am not the only mom that gets frustrated at times.....

While we are on the topic of Blakely's nursery I did a collage wall and I think it turned out really cute. Here are some pics of her nursery! I think I am finally happy with the look at feel of it, but you know me I will probably be changing it again next month!

Romper Love

So I have had an obsession for awhile and they are called ROMPERS!!! I can have quirky style sometimes so you might think I am crazy, but I think they are adorable (Sara i know you are with me on this one). The problem is that they all look similar to these rompers...which in my case can only be worn to the beach or pool, but when they are silk that doesn't really work!!

So there I am watching American Idol this week and J Lo lookin hot as ever comes walking onto stage in this....

Look at that!!!! A hot romper that I could actually wear....Ok you are thinking where are you going to wear a sparkly gold romper? Well I would find somewhere if I owned it. So after seeing this I went on a search and actually found some adorable jumpsuits that would work to wear with g's!

So what are your thoughts on Jumpsuits? Are you liking them as much as me or do you think I will look like a painter??? Don't worry about hurting my feelings if you think they are hideous because I will probably buy one anyways, ha ha!

I think she is rubbing out the hair in the front when she sleeps, it is a sad situation, good thing I retrained her to wear bows again, those can make any hairstyle cute!

The Life of a 1 Year Old!

Snotty nosed and never fully dressed!

Well my 1 year old that is!  I still can't get over saying that, and the fact that my baby is ONE. However, I am not going to lie I am loving this age, finally my baby is happy and content with life which makes things a lot less stressful!

Yesterday we got Miss B's 1 year immunizations (ok that is not fun, does it get worse the older they get??? because she looked at me like why are you letting this happen). I was excited to go in so I could see how much she has grown. So here are here stats.

19.6lbs

28 inches

The doctor said she is petite but measures great because she is even, 40th percentile in both height and weight.
Here are some things B is up to lately

-Running around everywhere she goes, she thinks there is no reason to walk when you can run. I need to get video because her belly leads, so cute!

-Climbing on furniture and using the highest point as a sitting perch, like some sort of bird!

-Opening every cupboard and drawer, I was hoping she wouldn't figure this one because it is a pain to keep her out of them!

-Sleeping throught the night... YEAH!!

-Refusing to take her regular naps, I am hoping this is a readjusting period from being on vacation because she needs them, well I need her to need them!

-Pretending like she is talking on the phone, apparently I talk too much because she knows just what to do!

-Saying words like, Ma ma, da da, ball, thank you, ba ba, dog, bye, hello. She will basically copy any word and sound you say but these are the words that have stuck around the longest.

-Holding full on conversations with herself and strangers. This girl thinks she is always saying something really important and makes sure it is LOUD!!!

-She loves to play peekaboo with everything and anything.

Playing peekaboo with diaper genie, sanitary??? Questionable

-She still loves her bunny and carries it around the house with her.

-One of her favorite tricks right now is when you say night night she will stop wherever she is and lay her head down and pop it right back up for you to say wake up!! She loves it so much!

-She is not the best eater but her favorite foods are spaghetti, eggs, yogurt, cheese, and obviously cupcakes did you not see her birthday pics!

I am sure I am forgetting so many things that she is doing but for now I just wanted to record some things before I forget!

Tonight I took my party animal upstairs to put her to bed...as I cuddled her in my arms she looked into my eyes and jibber jabbered away (if you have heard her you know what i am talking about). Although it is just jibber jabber this little girl knows what she is saying and she had a lot to say...so I just sat there and listened. She was exhausted from her big birthday festivities but didn't want to shut her eyes so I just held her and listened. I held her longer than normal and soaked in all I could!!

Tomorrow my baby girl turns ONE! I am sure every parents says this but Hank and I cannot get enough of this little girl! A year ago she decided she was boss by coming a week overdue and today she is still the boss. She has given us a run for our money with her rambunctious personality, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

As I held her in my arms tonight I thought about what a great year it has been, I get sad about how much I have already forgotten about my baby girl but I am also excited for the many years ahead that we can make more memories. I hope there are many more birthday eves in years to come where I hold her and she chats my ear off, maybe then I will actually know what she is saying!
