SWEET SIXTEEN!

If Hank and I were to have met and dated when we were just sixteen, it would have looked a little something like this.....

Seriously he looks like he is 10? I would definitely be the cradle robber this time around!

Happy Half Birthday COWGIRL!

For Blakely's Half Birthday, we suited up in our Cowboy gear and headed down to the Calgary Stampede. I love how when the Stampede is in full force the whole town embraces it. Anywhere you go from a business offices to the mall everyone is decked out in their gear!!!!
Of course with a baby we couldn't do too much at the Stampede but we had a great time anyways, seriously the people watching alone is the best entertainment ever!!! Never seen so many white trash people in my life, ha ha (sorry that is probably rude but true)

Biggest Clydesdale's I have ever seen
A little shocked with the lights at the ice show
Mesmerized by the ice show!!!!
Ok my baby is 6months old??? How did that happen. She is such a joy and loves to put on a show for strangers. If anyone looks at her she will give them the biggest 2 toothed grin ever.
She has definitely become a mommas girl in the last couple weeks, which is great but a little draining at times when I can't get anything done.
She is rolling all over the place and can basically get anywhere she wants by rolling and turning. The army crawl is about to happen and I don't know if I am ready for her to be moving that much, she is a hyper one!
She never stops moving and is so much fun.
If you are talking to someone she tries to talk over you...as soon as you stop she is dead quiet, apparently she likes to be the center of attention, where does she get that from?? Hmm, mom or dad it is a tough call.
Recently we reattempted sleep training and it is working, MIRACLE!!!!
Since I always forget here are her 6 month stats:
15lbs 5 ounces (40th percentile)
26 inches (70th percentile)
We love our little boogie and can't imagine life with out her. Can't wait to see what the next 6 months brings!

GIRLS RULE!!!

The Webbs came to Canada and it was a true GIRL FEST at the Nelson home. My sister has three adorable little girls and another little girl on the way. So between Blakely and the Webb girls Hank and Jarom were sorely outnumbered.
I will say that all the good pictures are on my sister's camera and I can't wait to post them because there are some AMAZING PICTURES, but knowing how long it takes her to upload her pictures I may not get them till next summer so I decided to post about their visit and then I will add the good pictures later!
Since they were driving we decided to meet them in Glacier/Waterton National Park. It was not the best day but the rain decided to go away for us to take the most beautiful hike, and we even saw a bear and his cubs playing off the highway, SO COOL!!! Glacier is probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life.
While they were here we also went to Banff and Lake Louise, two more gorgeous places. When we were canoeing out on lake louise I just couldn't believe how beautiful it was, something you can't describe or even capture in a picture!!!
Adrien and I were a true gong show on the canoes, we had Allie and Kate with us and we were scared we were never going to make it back in, apparently we need to take some rowing lessons! I can only imagine what we looked like from the shore.
Besides seeing the most beautiful places we did a lot of park hopping, fun trail runs, and of course playing dress up! I also held a 4th of July BBQ with lots of friends and family that was a blast. It was so good to have visitors, especially the Webbs, I love those little girls to death.
Here are a few of the pics from my camera....

OH CANADA!!!!

Since we sang that in church last week that has been sung at my house way too many times. And I mean just the "OH Canada" part because we don't know the rest of the song. In fact my neices were here (post on that to come) and we all kept singing it, even my 3 year old neice Kate knew the tune!
CANADA DAY!!!! Since my baby is half Canadian of course we had to celebrate Canada Day in full force and that we did.
We spent the day with the Dahl's at Prince's Island Park then had a great BBQ followed by fireworks. However, we missed the fireworks. After waiting for over an hour we realized why Blakely would not go to sleep, she had done a major blowout. Hank went to change it right when the fireworks started. A couple minutes later he showed up with Blakely in his sweatshirt and said "We gotta go...our car is covered in poop" He actually used a more colorful word for poop but I will save his innocence in the blog world.
It was so fun to really get into the festivities this year! I have loved all my time in Canada and think it is such a wonderful place!!! I love that my daughter will forever be part Canadian!

Don't you love the matching shirts
She was loving the music
I love this little girl so much

TWI-HARD

So I have never been the biggest twilight fan. I mean I like the books and I get around to seeing the movies eventually....
Well last Thursday I became a TWI-HARD
Translation:
-Tickets for opening night the 10:45p.m. showing (thus staying up way past my bedtime)
-Getting there to stand in line over 2 hours early
-3rd people in the line outside that wrapped around the building
-Oogling over a Jacob pillow
-Getting sheepish during the love scenes (I don't know why I get so embarssed)
-Drinking too much diet coke! Equaling me needing to pee so bad but not wanting to miss any of the show. I even had the thought if I wet my pants what would I do?
-Loving Eclipse, best movie by far!
Thanks Simone for a great night. I will forever be a TWIHARD

K-100

Its about time I posted right??? I know I am so behind. I am at that point in blogging where you just want to give up because you are so behind. But I am determined to get caught up since I am too lazy to scrapbook for Blakely so a printed version of my blog will have to do, ha ha! Also we are again attempting sleep training starting tonight, so I should now have plenty of time on my hands to blog while distracting myself from my daughters cries, I mean SCREAMS!!!!!

Ok so back to the post!
June 19th I ran the coolest race in Kananaskis with a bunch of ladies from my ward and a girl from work. It is kind of like the ragnar for those of you that run that, but is is only 100 miles and you have 10 runners that run one longer leg each. I am not going to lie I am a fan of the long one leg because when you finish you are DONE!!!
Anyhoo, our team name was LADIES WITH GREAT LEGS AND LACES...we wore bright green laces to distinguish our team. The majority of th race you are running on a highway so you aren't allowed any music so I thought I was going to get bored with 10 miles to go up hill! Luckily I made a friend who let me talk his ear off most the time and made me run faster too.

I am not going to lie my leg kicked my butt, it was hill after hill after hill and I ran way faster than I had ever trained, but it was so good to finish killing my goal time!
I am already excited for next year!
Some more pics for fun!!!
Most the team showing off our laces!
