Our Little Piglet!

Our little piglet knows how to eat. She went in for her 2 week check up and already weighs 7 pounds 11 ounces. That is 1 pound and 4 ounces over her birth weight! She is really starting to fill out and gets cuter everday, I love her cheeks!

Once again we had the very talented Eden take our pictures for us and I could not be happier. In fact I think I shed a tear everytime I look at them because they are so precious and Blakely has already grown so much since these were taken when she was a week old. There are so many good ones I could hardly choose which ones to blog, but here is a little sneak peak at my beautiful daughter (I think Hank is pretty cute too)!

Most newborns curl up and sleep during the shoot. Not Blakely, she was wide awake and wanting to party the whole time. She is her mothers daughter!

Since I am so far away many of my posts now will just be pictures to show how much Blakely is growing. She is getting cuter by the day and I see a double chin coming on. I just stare and cuddle her all day and feel so blessed.

Blakely's First Date

On Friday night Blakely had her first date with her best friend Carter. Carter was due three weeks after her but decided to beat her here by a week weighing a whopping 10lbs 12ounces. His chubbiness is just too cute and we couldn't resist getting them together for comparison pics!

Meet Blakely Jane Nelson

Since today Blakely marks her week Birthday I thought it was about time we introduced her on the blog... This is how it all began, on Friday, January 8th I was 5 days overdue and feeling like this little girl was never going to come. My doctor ordered an ultrasound and concluded the baby had not been growing and I needed to be induced as soon as possible. However, the hospital was crowded so they could not get me in for a couple of days. I went home and took a shower because I wanted to be ready just in case my doc made the call. As I was getting dressed I started to feel a trickle down my leg! Since I had never peed my pants I immediately called my Nurse Sister, Whitney, and she confirmed I had a slow leak! With a slicked wet ponytail and minimal makeup applied Hank & I were out the door to the overcrowded Hospital. Grandma Suzy was at my house getting things ready with phone in hand waiting for updates. Adrien was plane bound for Calgary and taken straight to the hospital upon arrival! She arrived to the hospital and I was still smiling! Hank and Adrien made the best birthing coaches and supported me through a 8 hour labor and 30 minutes of pushing! PS Epidurals RULE!

THE BOSS

My mom called me today to tell me that she thought of a new nickname for baby girl, I was all excited to hear and she came back with THE BOSS.
My mom knows how much of a planner I am in and how I like to do things when I want and how I want and this little girl is showing me real quick that she is now going to be the one in charge.
I am now going into DAY 3 Overdue and starting to go insane. I know people go a lot longer then that but I guess I just did not mentally prepare myself for this to happen.

So here's to you BOSS, I know you are a stubborn little girl and I accept that you are the boss, but please come out and join our family we are ready for you!
