Birthday, Utah, Family Reunion, and more Birthdays!

Warning this may be a long post but I guess that is what happens when you take quite the hiatus from blogging. It is not like i had nothing to post about, actually quite the opposite but we have been so busy playing, working, and trying to get settled into the new house that blogging just got pushed farther and farther back on the to do list, but I have so much to report I couldn't hold out any longer!
First off we had a blast in Utah!!! It was so good to see everyone and just be with family. Note: I was horrible at taking pictures this trip so the pics are sporatic and don't capture everything we did. We were able to celebrate both our birthdays while in Utah, go to the Nelson Family Reunion and stay up way too late for our own good. I have decided I need to start planning vacations for after I take a trip home, we end up coming back more tired then when we left! I will begin to post pictures to document the journey!

P.S. Don't have a picture to document this but while I was in Utah ON MY BIRTHDAY, Bekah's friend who is an ultra sound tech snuck me into the hospital to tell me once and for all what I am having. She has a 100% right track record so I was so excited when she confirmed that it was a GIRL!!! That baby girl was moving and kicking when she was doing the ultrasound and gave us a full leg spread which made things a lot easier. I have already started getting cute girl things from friends and family. Let the spending begin, ha ha!

DATE NIGHT IN MIDWAY!
One of my best friends Amanda and her boyfriend Jeff invited us up to his place in Midway for the evening, we had so much fun swimmming, eating pizza, and taking a ride on this giant 4-wheeler. I had such a blast and it was so good to spend time with the two of them. I should have taken a picture at the pool because it was so hilarious...Hank and I are both so white and they are so tan. You could tell we came straight out of Canada!

Excited for the ride!

MY BIRTHDAY
I had the best birthday ever. I spent the day hanging out with my sisters and mom, got an ultrasound, Birthday Dinner at Magleby's and followed it up with a late night watch of the Bachelorette with the girls. We stayed up way too late but it was so worth it! Thanks everyone that made my birthday so special!

Like I said I was treated well on my birthday!

My cousin Sara was the best while I was in town, she would come anywhere or drive anywhere just to see me!
THE KIDDOS
Like everytime I come to visit seeing all the kiddos is the highlight of the trip. I always miss them so much. I was horrible at taking pictures at the Nelson Family Reunion but I also loved spending time with all those kids, we had a blast swimming and running around the campground. I got to meet two out of the three brand new Nelson side babies and can't wait to meet Caleana's newest one, we missed him by a day!
I may be biast but I think I have the cutest neices and nephews ever!

Graham Bam, too cute for words!

Jane, she has gotten so old!

Claire showing me her new trick!

Allie and Kate!

HANK'S 30TH B-DAY BASH UP AT THE CABIN

I decided since Hank was turning the big 30 I would throw him a party. We had many wonderful friends and family come join us up at the cabin for a BBQ, it was so good to see everyone and just hang out!
Ok so I think I am done for now. Hopefully I didn't bore you too much. Like I said we had a fabulous time but it does feel good to be home!
Maybe I can get some pics from Greta and katrina to prove I had a fabulous time in Lava hot Springs at the Reunion!

Best News Ever!

Today Hank and I got to go for my first ultra sound and got the best news ever. Besides the good news that it is a healthy baby with two arms, a beating heart and two sides to the brain they told me that I am A WEEK AND A HALF FARTHER ALONG THEN I THOUGHT!!!!! So instead of 13 weeks I am closer to 15. I was so excited!!!!! A little nervous that I am still sick and that far along but nontheless excited to be farther along then I thought.

So here is to our NEW YEARS BABY, maybe we can win all those prizes and be the first baby of 2010. Although my accountant sister Adrien advises me that having it on the 31st of December would be better for Tax purposes!
HERE IS OUR BABY's FIRST PICTURE!!!!

The tech was nervous for me to quote her on this and wants me to come back at 18 weeks but she said it was a GIRL. We will see if that changes but we couldn't be happier!!!!

Attack of the Hillbillies

This morning me and two of my co-workers hit the streets to do some grassroots marketing during the Stampede Parade, we were making a lot of progress until we got ATTACKED!!!!
We weren't being discrimatory with our free water however we were trying to hit our demographic because they had free guest passes on them. When we went out for the second round we got the attack of the hillbillies, literally a mass of large smoking hillbillies just starting coming after us and taking our water by the bullk. We were all just standing there in shock not knowing what do as they just kept taking! It was quite the site to see, regardless we had a GOOD time and I have the pictures to prove it!
I was just proud I was functioning at that time in the morning and not puking!

Getting ready to hit the streets

Yeah were that good!

I got tired of walking!

The wagon was my idea and I think it was the best part!

Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh MY

Yesterday was Canada Day so we had the day off (well half the day off for Hank). Our friends invited us to go to the ZOO with them so we decided why not. We had never been to the Calgary ZOO and I have to admit that I had not been to a ZOO without the neices and nephews since well....A long time, but it turned out to be a ton of fun.
I took a few pictures to document the event!

The Balderson's showing us a good time at the ZOO

My favorite part...the baby gorilla, SO CUTE

THe boys and well a HIPO's butt
Hey did you know Hipo's can't swim they just sink to the botoom, I witnessed it!
Ha ha you love my facts I am like a little kid!

And thats a wrap folks!
However I got some good adventures coming your way.
The Stampede launches off tommorow here in Calgary and lets just say the city is ready to party. Everywhere you look it is decorated cowboy and everyone is dressed ready for the occasion. Tommorow bright and early me and girls from work are hitting the streets in our gear to pass out free passes, then tommorow night Hank and I (graciously being given tickets from Richard and Jeanne) are hittin the STAMPEDE FULL SPEED!
Don't worry I will document the event!
