WINTER WONDERLAND

We are having a blast up here in Utah in this winter wonderland! We had a very Merry Christmas and received A TON of Snow, however, the temperatures are mild compared to what we are used to....Last night I didn't even put on gloves or a hat, in Canada that would never happen! Here are some fun pics of our ANNUAL CHRISTMAS EVE SKI DAY and Christmas Day PARTY!!!!

We LOVE being home and surrounded by our family at this time. I am sure I will be posting soon with more adventures because we are off to go sledding withe kiddos!

LIVE NATIVITY

Last night we decided to BRAVE the cold (-30) to go to the live Nativity Pageant at Heritage Park. The church puts it on up here and it runs live with real animals and actors for a couple days. If I felt cold I can only imagine how the actors felt, seriously who would sign up for that. We had a blast with our friends running around to keep warm and also had a lovely time remembering what this special time is really about, the birth of our Savior!
We are packing up everything right now to make the 13 hour trek down to Utah tommorow. Hank is so excited, since I have had to leave him behind the last couple times it will be his first time home. He is like a kid in the candy store. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and I hope to see some of you soon!

TRUE BIRDS...

Ok so I have to do a shout out for my two most talented friends! Seriously these two are amazing and I am constantly in awe of the things they do (not to mention they are the sweetest most beautiful girls too). Heather and Heidi are two twin sisters that recently started a company called True Birds. Take a gander below and don't forget to check out their website and get that last minute christmas shopping done! Their products are unique and beautiful and I could not be happier for them.

Hello friends! Today I'm happy to expose the underground project I've been working on with my twin sister for almost a year now. We've kept our side biz pretty hush hush as we needed to place our accessory products in the hands of the right buyers/showrooms, magazines and influentials before we exposed our idea to the web world.

Our accessory company is called True Birds. We've been calling each other 'bird' for many years and thought the name fitting! We had a big vision of a business idea and limited time with newlywedness, work endeavors, moves and the sort but after lots of passion, designing, fabric districting, midnight sewing, marketing, graphicking, photoshooting,web-site-ing (I just made up a slew of 'ing' words!)and the like we have come out just in time for the last of the Christmas shopping! Yahoo!

We've struck some luck with a great buzz about the product. We're in numerous boutiques from Beverly Hills to the N.Y.C., have had some celebrity requests for True Birds from the likes of Mamma Mia's star, Amanda Siegfried as well as the writer of JUNO, Diablo Cody. We also just recently had a request for a meeting with the hair accessory buyer from
Henri Bendel which will be held next month. We've been so blessed and we love how it is all naturally taking flight!

(A quick glance of what the True Birds, http://www.truebirds.com/ web store features)

So, we want to spread a little Christmas Cheer! We're offering a 40% off coupon for all orders until December 31, 2008. This coupon is for our family and friends and their family and friends so feel free to share it!

Their stuff is so adorable so go check it out!

GOING FULL-TIME...

Tonight I am having to say goodbye to my leisurely life. Its not like I have been sitting around doing nothing, yet I pretty much have had free reign to do whatever I wanted if I felt like it! Well tommorow that is all about to change. Don't get me wrong I am so excited for this new chapter in my life but I am going to miss the freedom I have been enjoying. So here is to working full-time, here is to making it through the next week alive, and to not having as much leisurely time to get my blog on! Don't worry I will still keep you posted on the happenings of the Nelsons. We are getting really excited to go home for Christmas and see you all! (Hank has a passport this time so I won't be leaving him behind).

P.S. I don't know what I signed up for here in Canada but lets just say these past two days have been -30 degrees plus windchill, thats what you call walk outside and your nose hairs freeze!

One Party, Two Party, NO THREE....
Hank and I had a fun filled holiday weekend going to three different Christmas Party's. We had so much fun mingling with co-workers and friends and making the most of this fun time of year. I kept joking with Hank that we had all our party's in one weekend now what are we going to do for the rest of the month...however, I think I have plenty of ideas to keep us busy. I hope you are all enjoying this fun time of year because I know we sure are.

THANKSGIVING

I had an amazing time with my family in St. George for Thanksgiving. Hank was supposed to come with me and we were going to surprise my family. However, the passport people really screwed up by not getting Hank's new passport here on time, therefore making me take off by myself. Hank was such a good sport about the whole thing but was greatly missed. Here are a few pictures capturing the fun of the holidays, the first couple pics are of Thanksgiving with my old blurry camera. But I got a new camera (hence the blurriness) and I love it! I can't wait to take more pics with it! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with your families. I know that I did. I am so grateful for all that I have, my family, friends, the gospel....I am one lucky girl and I love this time of year to reflect on all that we have.

Warning: Lots of pics!
