Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny RED Polka Dot Bikini

Red Bikini is courtesy of one of my Best Friends Brittany and I think it makes this post because the pictures of Blakely's chubby belly are just too good to be true!

Today we took a trip to the swimming pool! I was the only mom not working or taking a course out of the bunch, but we had a blast and I can honestly say that these three are the BEST dads I know. Honestly each one of them is so involved in their childs life and loves them so much. It was so fun to watch them interact at the pool.

So anyhoo Blakley pulled out the big guns with her bikini today for her boyfriend Carter and I think he liked it! This is the second time we have been swimming at the Southland Leisure Center and the kids just love it because the water is so warm. We lasted about an hour but I think that is great with two babies. I am hoping to get a lot of pool time actually outside this summer but for now we will take the indoor pool and pray for warm sunshine!

The ZOO and a Little MOO

I just have to say that a nice spring day can make anyone happy! The past couple days have been sunny, beautiful, and warm and I feel like the happiest person on the planet. With the warm weather we have taken full advantage and spent the majority of our time outside (cleaning will have to wait) because I don't know how long we will keep this fantastic weather.

On Friday we headed out to the zoo with my besties, although Blakely is not old enough to really enjoy it, the toddlers love it and I love being outside walking around in the sunshine and we had an amazing time. I got a pass and I am thinking by the end of the summer Blakely will be responding to seeing some of the animals!

THE CREW! Susie is due any day and was a trooper to let us drag her around the whole zoo!

That evening we all put on our walking shoes and the stoller brigade headed off to "My Favorite Ice Cream Shop" no it is not MY (Emily's) favorite, that is what it is called. I had to explain that to everybody as we were taking the long walk there and they thought I was making the place up! Lo and behold we made it!

MY FAVORITE PICTURE OF ALL TIME, this worker had that look on her face the whole time so disinterested and mad, if I worked at this place I would have a perma grin!

This weekend also included the first bbq, many walks and some park time! Oh spring and summer please be here to stay!

My cousin shot this video on her IPHONE on Sunday and it is too cute. Unfortunately you have to put up with me being annoying, but if you stick with it you get to see her laughing and smiling!

3 Months

Yesterday was Blakely's Three Month Birthday and I am in shock has fast it has gone by. My newborn is definately gone. She is getting so big and is so much fun.

At her 12 week check-up she weighed 11pounds 12 ounces 50th percentile and was also in the 50th for heights, apparently she was in the 30th percentile for her head but we still love our small headed baby!!!!

Some things she has recently started doing:

-Smiling all day

-Giggling at me

-Resisting sleep (not happy about this one)

-Rolling from her tummy to her back

-Loving her new jungle mat toy
-Still hating the car (another thing I am not happy about)
-She still loves her swing which may just be my life saver

-Sucking on her hands, they are constantly wet

-Throwing up everthing, her reflex has gotten bad but she is still gaining weight so they say not to worry, however every piece of clothing and furniture is now covered in baby spit up!

We love our little boogie and are enjoying each stage she passes through because it is always just too fast!

BEST FRIENDS!

I am so lucky to have such good friends in my life and I am grateful for each and everyone of them. My friend Lynlee and I met in college and lived together before I married Hank, in fact she is probably the reason I met Hank. And when he told her he had a crush on me she had no qualm about telling me right away how much he liked me. She has been a cheerleader for Hank and I and also a good friend to me throughout the years. I am so grateful for her.

So when I called to tell Lynlee that I was pregnant I could not be more excited to hear that SHE WAS TOO. Our dear sweet girls were born 4 days apart (thanks to me being overdue) and are already best friends. With this early start in their friendship I know they will be life long friends. While I was in Utah they met for the first time and even had a sleepover!

"Cousins by chance, Friends by choice"

So in 2010, 4 new babies are being born on my side of the family. The first three are all girls and the last one is still unknown. Blakely and Amelia are the first to be born and already they are best buddies, we can't wait for the rest to follow, what a fun crew it is going to be.

Bekah and I were attempting to get a good picture of the two of them to send out as a blessing announcement but failed many times, here are some of the outtakes!!!

"Cousins by Chance, Friends by Choice"

This saying is something my two cousins, Annie and Sara, and I say all the time because we are best friends and could not love each other more! I hope that Blakely and her 2010 cousins feel the same way about each other some day!

Blessing

Well I am back and I have so much to post but thought I would start with the blessing.

We blessed Blakely and my neice Amelia in my sister Bekah's ward and followed it up with a giant party at her house. It was quite the event with three families all together but was such a wonderful time. Hank gave Blakely the most beautiful blessing and I had so many wonderful friends and family come to support us.

For the actual blessing Blakely wore a dress that has been worn by every girl in my family starting with my mom and my aunts, down through my cousins and sisters, and now the grandaughters. It is well worn and still beautiful, despite the fact that Blakely likes to throw up on everything she made it through with a clean dress.

After the blessing we changed her into the most beautiful dress that my mother in law knitted for her. She looked gorgeous and was a perfect angel for her special day.

I loved blessing the two girls together and I am sure they will love to hear about it when they are older and best buddies!
